Andiroba Oil is a little known Oil that comes from the seeds of the nuts of the Andiroba (Carapa Guaianensis) tree that is native to South America. The tree itself can grow massively into the tens of metres.
Extracting the oil is a very long and complex process that can take weeks. Firstly the seeds are boiled, then rested for a couple of weeks or so and then pressed to get the oil.
Andiroba Oil by itself is a natural remedy for muscle pains and arthritis, rheumatism and joint pains with the added bonus of being great for the skin. It is even sometimes used as an insect repellent.
It is obvious to see why we include it in our Amazonian Muscle Rub.
