Frankincense Essential Oil is not necessarily the first essential oil that comes to mind. The first thought that springs to mind for most people when they think of Frankincense is of the three wise men when they visited Jesus in Bethlehem bearing gifts.
It comes from a tree called Boswellia Serrata and is found in India. The word itself is thought to come from the old French term “franc ensens”, meaning something along the lines of good quality incense.
Frankincense Essential Oil has many uses such as protection for healthy cells, anti-inflammatory and skin rejuvenation (scars and stretch marks). It also has antiseptic qualities that provide a barrier against germs and bacteria.
It is no wonder that we use it in our rubs for muscles, joints and tendons. Its anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving qualities provide a natural option to soothe your aches and pains away.
