Marjoram Essential Oil is made from Origanum Marjorana, or Marjoram (also known as sweet Marjoram). It is a Mediterranean perennial herb that much as its name suggests is close to the herb Oregano.
Naturally, it is well known as a herb used in the culinary world and probably what it is most known for.
However, it has also been long known for its other properties. For example, it was used by the ancient Egyptians to heal and disinfect or even preserve food.
We use it for its calming and anti-inflammatory effects, as it is great for pain relief such as soothing headaches and nerve pains as well as calming down painful, sore muscles.
