Beeswax

We use Beeswax (Cera alba) in a number of our products as a setting or hardening agent. Notably, we use it in our flavoured beeswax lip balms as one of our natural ingredients because, unlike lip salves that contain petrolatum, it allows the skin to breathe. Another use for Beeswax within lip balms is as a natural hardening agent which helps bind all the other great ingredients.

Beeswax is produced by honey bees and has antibacterial properties that make it great for skin treatments generally. For lips, it helps moisturise as well as helping to soothe chapped or dry lips.
